We print our clothing collection ourselves in our workshop. Here we are the 'machines', because we print everything by hand. Most of our products are printed to order, thereby reducing overproduction and waste. We hand print with screen printing and in the old-fashioned way with woodblock printing:
Screen printing is also called silkscreen printing or frame printing. A screen printing frame consists of a wooden or aluminum frame, over which a finely woven cloth is stretched – almost like a canvas. The printing itself takes place by placing the printing ink in the frame and pressing it through the motif in the silk onto the product to be printed. We print with water-based inks (OEKO-TEX). The water-based ink penetrates the fabric and is subsequently heat-treated.
Woodblock printing is one of the world's oldest printing techniques, where the graphics are carved into large stamps, and where the print has a completely unique stamp effect - no two prints are the same.
We print with water-based inks which are subsequently heat-treated so that the water-based ink is fixed in the fabric and can be washed at a maximum of 40 degrees.
